Superior by Design

In the early 1950's, Bruderer responded to the metal stamping industry's need for machinery which could run at higher production speeds and achieve more accurate tool guidance to increase tool life and assure closer components tolerances. Bruderer introduced the industry's first new concept in press design in over 50 years. Our patented new design concepts proved so superior in performance that within a ten year period, Bruderer evolved into the world's largest high-speed press manufacturer. The new design principle proved to be so revolutionary that many of our early features can now be found in our competitors' latest presses.

Bruderer's high performance machines are being used by most of the world's prestigious manufacturing companies in a wide spectrum of applications.

Manufacturing Plant

Bruderer Machinery, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama is a unique blend of craftsmen and engineers who have come together to serve the American stamping market. Originally established in the United States in 1974 by Bruderer of Frasnacht, Switzerland, the company has continued to set the industry standard for high-speed precision stamping.

Companies that depend on Bruderer presses to help manufacture or stamp their products are AT&T, AMP, Coors, GE, Gillette, GTE, ITT, Northern Telecom, Texas Instruments, 3M and many others.

Some of the products stamped on the presses include razor blades, connectors, floppy disk parts, cooling fins, can tops, motor laminations, watch components, and lead frames. Quality is the essence of every Bruderer press. Each component must meet a high tolerance standard. At every phase of production the parts are tested for fit and reliability before being passed on to the next workstation. All wiring is meticulously routed and each bolt or capscrew is torqued to the recommended setting. Workers proudly sign off on their involvement in the production process.

This is the Bruderer commitment that ensures the customer a machine that is 100% functional when delivered and for years to come.

Top Notch Employees

Leading technology for punching techniques can only be created if the foundations are right. In order to reach high-quality standards, Bruderer invests in intelligent manpower - over 700 people work for our organization worldwide - and intelligent technology. From the very first ideas to the very last bolt, exemplary competence is at work.

The production of a Bruderer stamping press begins with this highly qualified work force. We employ CAD/CAM operators, machinists, electronic technicians, welders, assembly personnel, painters, inspectors and administrative support. Each employee is a respected, trusted, and individually responsible member of the company. Housed inside the 100,000 square-foot clean, air conditioned, safe facility are state-of-the-art computerized machine tools. With this combination of personnel and machinery we produce stamping presses capable of running at high speeds and very close tolerances.

Production has become a synonym for Bruderer quality, leaving an impression on visitors time and time again. In bright and spacious production halls perfected ideas are transformed into presses. Here you will not only find high-tech production equipment, but also professional teams who enjoy working together and know their trade. Many of the Bruderer components are manufactured in-house - so that every BSTA is a true Bruderer, down to the very last detail.

Quality is not simply the result of endless checks and tests, it must be produced - and Bruderer makes every possible effort to do just this - and monitored. That is why several production stages undergo the critical checks carried out by our quality assurance experts. At Bruderer we use the most up-to-date testing methods so that only those components and presses that are 100% in working order are passed for delivery.

Ridgefield Customization and Refurbishing Facility

For proprietary "turnkey" contracts requiring complete privacy and for those occasions when Bruderer's older products need to be restored for inclusion in our Bruderer2 line of rebuilt presses, this 8,000-square-foot area is adjacent to our engineering, spare parts department, sales and corporate offices.
